What is BOB? (Battle of the Books) The 2011-2012 school year will once again include BOB. This exciting reading competition will be open to all fifth grade students. If you decide to participate in BOB you will read books and become a member of a team that will answer questions about the books in a competition.
How to Get Started Below are a list of ten titles that will be included on the 2011-2012 Battle of the Books list. The rest of the reading list is a mystery and will not be released until October with a BOB kick-off.
What Should I Do? In the fall you will have to answer questions about the books so you may want to write some notes about each book you read. Include in your notes things like the setting, characters, and events of the books. You can even download the BOB Summary Sheet to fill out the information.
So, start reading, keep notes and get ready for the Battle of the Books in 2010-2011!!
